Krishna Deva Raya

There was a great king called Veera Narasimha who ruled over a country called Vijayanagar in South India. This kingdom was found by two brothers Hakka and Bukka , with the help of a saint called Vidhyaranya. Veera Narasimha had a very Valorous brother called Krishna Deva Raya and a son who was but a little baby. The king also had a great minister called Thimmarasu.

Once the king fell seriously ill. He thought that if he dies , his son will not become the king and his brother would become the king. So he called Thimmarasu to get Krishna Deva Raya executed and bring his eyes as proof of having killed him. Thimmarasu who was very wise man, suggested to Krishna Deva Raya to run away from the country. He then killed a goat and brought its eyes as proof of having killed Krishna Deva Raya. People started noticing that Krishna Deva Raya was absent from the kingdom. This news reached the enemies of the Vijayanagar empire and they waged a war. King Veera Narasimha who was an invalid, started repenting for his having killed Krishna Deva Raya. Thimmarasu then told the king the truth and brought back Krishna Deva Raya. Krishna Deva Raya fought with the enemy kings and defeated them. At this time Veera Narasimha died and the Krishna Deva Raya was made as the king of Vijayanagar. He ruled for a long time defeated all his enemies and became very famous.
